Flu Season in Pennsylvania

The official influenza surveillance season begins on the 40th week of the year (typically the beginning of October) and ends on the 20th week of the following year (in May). Currently in week 14, Pennsylvania has had 6,221 reported cases of influenza and six influenza-associated deaths. Last season, there were 71,272 reported cases and 149 deaths.
